OUR HISTORY

The History Makers School of Ministry was established in September of 1985 by

 Gaspar Anastasi, Bishop and Senior Pastor of Word of Life Ministries,

for the purpose of training up the Body of Christ as God’s mighty army. It is his

 desire that every Christian have a burning passion to see the Kingdom of God

 (God’s manifest presence) come forth in a greater way and be trained up and 

equipped to be that vessel of honor through which God can cause His power to flow. 

The History Makers School of Ministry had small beginnings. It  developed 

from the idea that Adult Sunday School should do more than merely dispense

 knowledge, as they have traditionally done. It should truly train up the Body 

of  Christ—not just to be observers of the Kingdom of God, but—to do the works

 of the Kingdom. We began to use WOLM Sunday evening services to teach and

 train the Body of Christ and to put into practice the  very things God has revealed 

to us.  We also instituted ‘Training Workshops.’  These Training Workshops have 

since evolved into courses designed to train up the child of God to be a “vessel 

of honor, sanctified, meet for the Master’s use, prepared unto every good work” 

(2Timothy 2:21). Word of Life continues to hold Seminars and Conferences throughout

the year to train up the Body of Christ, both nationally and inter­nationally. 

OUR VISION 

The vision of the History Makers School of Ministry is found in Ephesians 4:11-13:

 “And he gave some, apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists, and some pastors and

teachers; for the perfect­ing of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ:  

Till we all come in the unity of the Faith, and of the knowledge of the Son

of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”  

We have taken on this responsibility whole­heartedly and have committed ourselves to the

task God  has laid before us. It is our desire that each person who enters our doors reach

his or her highest potential in Christ. The History Makers School of Ministry and Faculty

are committed to and  promote the principle that training up the body of Christ is much more

than simply educating the believer.  We believe it entails "discipling" the person to walk in a

lifestyle that is similar in words and deeds to that of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

YOUR OPPORTUNITIES 

The History Makers School of Ministry offers opportunities for God’s people to be

 "discipled" through biblical training courses and ministry experience in the “local church”, 

inner city and worldwide mission outreaches, “hands on” programs and Church Planting.
