DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
The
History Makers School of Ministry is firmly
rooted and grounded upon the foundation of the following scriptural principles.
- The Bible, both
Old Testament and New Testament, is the only infallible authority concerning
God and His Word. His principles and deeds, as recorded in the Bible,
were revealed to
the writers by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2
Peter 1:21)
- There is One God
who is omniscient. omnipresent, and omnipotent; and He is revealed in
the three distinct persons of the Trinity-God the Father, God the Son
and God the
Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19; 1Corinthians 8:6)
- Jesus is God made manifest
in the flesh-a fact proven by His virgin birth, His sinless life,
His works and words, His sacrificial atoning death in the cross, His defeat
of the forces
of darkness in hell, His bodily resurrection, His appearances to His
disciples, and His
ascension to the right hand of the Father. (Luke 1:26-38; Isaiah 7:17;
Hebrews 4:15;
John 14:9-11; Galatians 1:4; Colossians 2:15; Luke 24; Colossians 3:1)
- Because of what Jesus
Christ has done, He is absolute Lord over all things.
(Philippians 2:6-11; Hebrews 1:4)
- The only means of salvation
for every person from eternal damnation to the life eternal
with God in “Paradise (Heaven)” is through the personal acceptance
of Jesus Christ as
their personal Lord and Savior. By Accepting Jesus, the person’s
human spirit is born of
God by the regenerative power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 10:9-10; Acts
4:12; John 3:38; 2Corinthians 5:17)
- The Baptism of the Holy
Spirit is available to all believers and is given to those who
ask for it. (Acts 2:14; Luke 11:13)
- The Baptism of the Holy
Spirit empowers each believer to do the works of Jesus Christ
and is evidence by the manifestation of Spiritual Gifts. (John 14:12;
Acts 2:1;
1Corinthians 12:4-11)
- The Church, as the bride of
Christ, will be caught up to meet Jesus on the Great Day
of His second coming. (1Thessalonians 4:16-8; Acts1: 11)
- The Churches purpose is to
be God’s representative figure here on this earth; to bring
the Good News of Salvation to the lost, to heal the sick; the set the
captives free from
bondage of the evil one; and to reestablish the Kingdom of God.
(2Corinthians 5:18-20;
Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18; Luke 11:14)
- The Church, Israel, and the
End Times. We, the Church, owe a great debt of love to the
nation of Israel and the Jewish people. It was out of their seed that
the world gained
the Messiah, Jesus Christ. We recognize Jesus Christ as the Jewish
Messiah who came
to save His own first. Though Israel as a nation and people rejected Him,
there was still a
Jewish remnant that did accept Him as their Lord and Savior. They
became the first
Christian Church. God has never stopped loving Israel nor has He taken
them out of His
eternal plan. (Romans 1:16; Romans 2:9,10; Romans 11:11,25-28)
