Internship Program

The Word of Life History Makers Internship Program is a nine month program designed to train and raise spirit filled leaders for this generation to do just as its name implies - to be God's history makers. God desires to pour Himself out upon this earth as never before in preparation for Jesus' soon return. He is looking for totally sold out, committed people to change this world just as the disciples did 2,000 years ago. To do this the child of God needs to be trained in their spiritual maturity through opportunities to spiritually grow, experience ministry first hand with "hands on" training as well as practical job experience. There are many aspects of being in ministry which involves all areas of expertise to be a part of God's plan in these end times. If you desire to be a part of changing this world and being a part of God's "history making" upon this earth and making a difference, than this internship program is for you.

Each intern will experience and participate in courses from the Word of Life History Makers School of Ministry as well as being involved in times of prayer and intercession. The intern will "life-skills" training in the area that they feel called to. Each Intern will be assigned a mentor who will help lead them and guide them in their chosen field as well as being spiritually mentored. Opportunities to travel and minister with the Word of Life team in the Home Mission Fields as well as the International Mission fields will also be available.

Internship General Information

The Internship is a 9 month, full time, in house residential program. All interns will be living on site in dormitory life here at Word of Life's Headquarters in Fort Myers, Florida.

The cost of the Intern Program is $1800. This includes the intern's room and board (as stated in dormitory setting) and all meals will be provided. Included in the $1800 are all costs concerning courses to be taken from the History Makers School of Ministry. All traveling expenses (such as airfare, busing, etc) to the Home Mission and International Mission Outreaches, conferences or other events will be the responsibility of the intern. Traveling with the Word of Life team is a major aspect of the internship experience. We encourage each intern to get sponsors to sponsor them through the Internship Program and the expenses incurred. A letter of enrollment and explanation of the Internship Program is available for those needing this to help them procure sponsors. The Word of Life History Makers Internship Program is open and available to anyone who is 17 years of age and older and we invite anyone from any nation to be involved. If you do come from a nation outside of the United States you are responsible to obtain the proper papers/ visas, etc. for legal entrance into the United States.

All Interns are to have read through Word of Life's Purpose and Vision Booklet, Word of Life's Core Values and Word of Life's Doctrinal Statement and be in agreement with these in order to be considered for our Internship Program

The application process:

The perspective intern will need to fill out and complete the Word of Life History Makers Internship Program Application. Along with this application the applicant needs to include to written character references from those other than family members and who are older the 21 years of age.

The applicant will then go through an interview process which will include discussing their desired field of ministry and general discussion of the Internship Program and mentoring system.

The Internship Program is designed for the individual to

take and be a part of one of several "tracks" as

described below

Media Arts - This includes Graphic design and production work and techniques to bring forth the Kingdom of God.

Audio/ Visual - This includes TV production, including editing, camera work, recording (DVD, CD, tape)

Worship Arts - Involves Drama, Dance, Prophetic Intercession, Worship team experience and training and other aspects of Worship Arts used to worship and lead others in worshipping the Lord.

Pastoral Care - Involves training in Small Group Leadership, New Life Program Pastoral Care, Mentorship for those who feel led to a Pastoral Call as Assistant Pastors or other Pastoral positions within the Body.

Home and World Missions Outreach - This involves training in evangelizing in our local neighborhoods, in the United States and Internationally. This also includes visiting and following up on the newly saved and visitors to the church for the purpose of "plugging" them into the Body of Christ.
